“The loveliest skies in all Europe”, the famous JMW Turner said about Margate. I spent a few days on the Kent coast and with strong winds and rain, I just managed this tiny little sketch sat in my car. I wanted to paint in Margate, particularly as Turner painted so much near to this very spot. Maybe another trip on a sunnier day would be best, as I’d love to catch the sunset there.
